I'm Priyanka Rajeev


A PhD Student of the mechanical engineering discipline, eager to contribute to the renewable energy sector and has a firm belief in delivering affordable access to energy. A self-driven engineer who thrives in ambiguity with strong written and verbal communication skills along with the other required skillsets and has an ability to instil camaraderie in a team. Focused on experiencing the real-world application of acquired knowledge and on building a research-driven career.

Currently, a recipient of Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (cycle 9- Direct Entry).

1. Project Intern, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), ISRO (2021)

Numerical simulations on "Modelling of Pressure and Thrust Oscillations due to Two-way Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) in Segmented solid rocket motor by using commercial CFD code", in which aero-acoustics coupling effects inside combustion chambers are studied.

2. Project Student, NIT Puducherry, Karaikal, Puducherry, India (2022)

Undergraduate project work as part of the institute course structure, on the topic "Flow Analysis of Passenger" to study the effects of Rear Spoilers on Aerodynamic Forces of Passenger Cars. Numerical simulations are done using commercial CFD software ANSYS FLUENT.

3. Project Engineering Intern, Agency for New and Renewable Energy Research and Technology (ANERT), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala (2019)

Worked on the project "Effective harvesting and usage of Renewable Energy ". The project was to create a C++ program that calculates the annual energy output of a site for a wind farm by giving the site parameters as the input. It also compares turbines of different companies and finds the best-suited, profitable wind turbine design for the site.

2. Student Coordinator and Founding Member, Learn Educate and Prosper (LEAP), Karaikal, Puducherry, India (2018-2022)

LEAP is a non-profit organization started by the students of NIT Puducherry in collaboration with the administration of Puducherry, for helping the students of the coastal town, Karaikal, to ace various competitive exams for securing better opportunities for their higher studies, especially in engineering schools. I worked as a Physics faculty member for higher secondary students.
